This featurette for the movie Wolf Man takes the audience behind the scenes of "wolf vision," the parts of the film in which we enter the perspective of the wolves. It is a combination of sound mixing and visual effects.Director Leigh Whannel and Sound Mixer Chris Hiles utilize an ambisonic microphone, which captures sound in 360 degrees, and placed it on a turntable so it was spinning while the performers are doing their dialogue. The result is the audience feels like the sound is circling around them.
